Who Says Vegans Can't Eat Chocolate..!

Chocolate. You can't say you don't love Chocolate; what's not to love?! And don't say the fact that it is unhealthy, because nowadays, this isn't always the case.

I present to you: The Raw Chocolate Company, possibly the best thing for vegans since an alternative to milk ;)

I am absolutely in love with these Chocolate Mulberries. Mulberries are something you don't usually see in the UK so I'll admit now that this is the first time I have tried them. And what better way to try something than covered in chocolate? Healthy, raw chocolate. Gluten free chocolate. Fairtrade, vegan, organic chocolate. I could go on for a while here...

Doesn't it look like a cute little acorn?!

So, what's so different about this variety of chocolate from others? One word: Cacao (not to be confused with Cocoa)! Raw Cacao is relatively unprocessed, un-roasted and contains no added sweeteners, fats or sugars. Due to being unprocessed, raw cacao is rich in antioxidants, fibre and minerals (iron + magnesium).  Its chocolate the way it should be.

Let me point out now that these things should come with a warning; once you start, it's hard to stop!

Anyone else think these would make ideal stocking fillers...any family members or friends who may be reading this, take note ;)

As I am on Vegan November, if I haven't mentioned this already, on my shopping list for the week is The Raw Chocolate Company Raw Cacao Powder and Cacao Nibs ... porridge, smoothies, n-ice cream, healthy pancakes...I can taste the chocolate just thinking of it! This vegan month is going by a breeze thanks to all the healthy alternatives nowadays...I'm thinking I'll last longer than a month! ;)

Here's a little recipe for you all that I posted on Instagram earlier. Vegan Chocolate Porridge; delicious, healthy and filling!

  1. In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup oats and 3/4 cup water.
  2. Cook in the microwave (or stovetop) for 2 minutes before stirring in 1/2 chopped banana, 2 chopped dates and 1 tbsp Sweet Freedom Choc Shots.
  3. Cook for a further 2 minutes before stirring in Alpro Unsweetened Almond Milk.
  4. Top with Choc Shots drizzle, The Raw Chocolate Company Chocolate Mulberries, sunflower seeds, sliced banana and Meridian Smooth Almond Butter.
  5. Add more almond milk if desired.

Have you tried Raw Chocolate? What do you think? Are you on Vegan November too?
